A Fresh Update from the Delish Kitchen
Introduction
At Delish Meals, we’re always looking for ways to improve while keeping the same homestyle taste our customers know and love.
We’re happy to share that our everyday dal and sabjis will now be cooked using olive oil, at no extra charge.
Why We Made This Change
Many of our customers have asked for lighter everyday cooking options, and olive oil is a natural fit for the direction we want to take with our meals.
We have selected a mild pure olive oil that works well for Indian cooking and helps us maintain the familiar flavour of our curries without overpowering the spices.
Will the Taste Change?
Our goal is to keep the taste as close as possible to what you already enjoy.
We chose a mild olive oil specifically so that the flavours of the vegetables, dals, masalas and spices remain the focus.
Which Items Will Use Olive Oil?
Cooked in Olive Oil
- Dals
- Sabjis
Cooked in Canola Oil
- Fried items
- Chapatis
- Theplas
- Parathas
Cooked in Mustard Oil
- Carrot pickle
- Certain traditional Sabjis where mustard oil is part of the recipe
Why Not Extra Virgin Olive Oil?
Extra virgin olive oil has a stronger olive flavour and aroma.
For Indian cooking, we prefer a more neutral olive oil so that the traditional taste of the dish stays the same.
That’s why we’ve chosen a pure olive oil suitable for everyday cooking.
Are We Charging Extra?
No.
This change is being introduced as part of our ongoing effort to improve our meals, and there will be no additional charge for curries cooked in olive oil.
Our Promise
We’ll continue focusing on what matters most:
- Freshly prepared meals
- Homestyle flavours
- Balanced everyday cooking
- Consistent quality
- Improvements based on customer feedback
Thank you for being part of the Delish Meals journey.
